The art director needs to be someone who is conceptual, loves their craft and is awards driven, someone who is versatile, and loves working across a range of different brands. A quick thinker needs to be proactive and understand how to run a campaign and push the process forward and meet the objectives of the brief. They also need to understand the pace of a fast working environment and be confident in their roll out of collateral and work to finished art. Must be proficient in the latest software and confident working on a Mac. We want someone that is pitch fit and able to work under pressure. In order to deliver exceptional quality, award-winning work, the following tasks and responsibilities need to be fulfilled:
Work with other disciplines (strategists, developers, media, accounts, etc.) to ensure cohesive team integration, and alignment with broader business objectives
Work with art copywriters/strategists/content managers to interpret briefs and deliver fresh ideas
Lead brainstorms and conceptualisation
Lead the craft and art direction of an idea across multiple channels
Mock up creative ideas and define the overall aesthetic of campaigns
Attend client briefings, compile presentations and present to clients
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Brief and manage photographers
Video creation/editing ability
Participate in pitches for new business
Perform any other duties as reasonably requested
Key requirements in terms of education and experience for this position include:
Study products and services to decide the main selling feature.
Create ideas for advertising and promotion, together with copywriters.
Consult with clients to obtain a clear understanding of their visual communication requirements and develop design roughs (visual or sketches).
Produce advertisements for newspapers, radio, television, cinema screens, billboards, catalogues, and for displays in shops – this involves using techniques such as photography, illustration, and computer generated imagery.
Supervise all production stages.
