Ogilvy Cape Town has a vacancy for an account director with five to seven years’ experience in advertising or brand management to work on a large account as part of a dedicated team. Applicant must have a marketing degree or diploma and experience working on retail accounts will be an advantage.
The account director plays a leadership role within the brand team and is responsible for ensuring effective day-to-day administration of the brand.
Attention to detail is imperative, as is the ability to cope and work in a fast paced environment.
The job entails working closely with clients, account management and the creative team on the management of the business - including briefing, financial administration and ensuring efficient delivery.
In addition, the account director will be involved in strategy and be working on new product development.
The position requires very strong organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication in English and excellent people and leadership skills.
You should be willing and able to take on projects and see them through to their conclusion.
Full computer literacy in MS Word and Excel are prerequisites as well as a drivers licence and own transport.
